The Holy Catholic Church, which has fought the battles of Christ for eighteen hundred years, is therefore destined to pass through a persecution compared to which those that she has suffered up to the present time are insignificant. St. Augustine classifies them under three general headings. The first he calls violent, on account of the cruelty with which the early Christians were treated by the Roman Emperors, while at a later period the Church suffered from the deception of false brethren, a trial much more insidious than the former, as it was more dangerous. But the persecution of Antichrist will combine both forms and will consequently prove more redoubtable than when one form only had to be contended with. - The Antichrist by the Rev. Paschal Huchede

Rome has fallen, fallen

Rome has fallen, fallen

________________________________________

The Vatican was never conceived by the early Church as anything like it has self conceived itself since the middle ages.

The original teaching of St. Irenaeus (180 A.D.), concerning Rome as a Bishop's see, was only that it be centered on by the other Bishops since it was the center of the Roman Empire. He never said it should be the center of Christendom, there is a world of difference. Before that no one even gave it that much sway. After that, it took centuries for the idea of
Rome dictating to everyone to develop (mostly at Rome). Even in Pope St. Gregory of Rome (died 604 A.D.) we find that he explicitly says that anyone - any Bishop - who claims to dictate to the other Bishops what to do or believe etc., is in fact a forerunner of Antichrist. He calmly notes that all Bishops are equal in authority and that there are, in fact, equally three sees of Peter - Rome, Antioch and Alexandria. These are positions of honor and not power. He also emphatically declares that Jerusalem is the mother of all the Churches - NOT Rome.

House Churches and the scriptures centered on them (Didache...) have never ceased since the days of the Apostles. That is a FACT. Leading up to the Fourth Lateran Council, the big power play of Rome was forming and being brought into play. Included were the novel ideas of priests forgiving sins by confession (still not taught as mandatory for God's forgiveness, when I was catechized in the 1950's) and priestly mandatory celibacy (St. Peter refers to his wife) and most of the apostles were married.

Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke of Pharisaic domination and to have nothing to do with it when He said:

Matthew 23:9

And call none your father upon earth; for one is your father, who is in heaven.

Matthew 11:25

At that time Jesus answered and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to the little ones.

Clearly this concentration of earthly power masquerading as God's will, when in fact, it is NOT God's will, has resulted in nothing but sheer disaster and abomination.

It is indeed time for the
Vatican to disappear. In fact, I set no dates, but God has said it will happen in the time known to Him:

This is emphatic prophecy (see below the Book of the Revelation, The Apocalypse, Chapter 18) of what will physically come to pass.

[1] -Ver. 9-19. This passage is not an account of a vision but rather a direct prophecy, after. the manner of the prophecies of Isaias and Ezechiel concerning Tyre. Tyre furnishes a type of the vengeance of God upon satanic pride and luxury.
[2] -Ver.13. Beasts [of burden]: the Greek has “cattle.”
[3] –Ver. 22 The city had boasted previously of her craftsmen, skilled in every craft.
